The Story
More than two decades through the changing sound of electronic music.
Paul Bingham is a South African electronic music DJ, producer and remixer whose career stretches from the early 2000s through Ibiza's superclub era, the global electro/progressive explosion, the festival-EDM years and into a new 2026 creative phase.
Public artist biographies from Beatport and DJSA describe Bingham as the only South African DJ to have held residencies at both Amnesia and Privilege in Ibiza.
His path has included international club dates, festival stages, more than 100 released tracks and remixes referenced in historical profiles, his AVANTINOVA label and radio brand, and the 2017 debut album Electric Summer.
The new chapter is focused on building a distinct Future Rave Crossover identity: powerful enough for large-scale dance floors while placing songwriting and emotional connection back at the centre of the music.

Early 2000s
The Foundation
Paul develops through South Africa's club circuit after becoming immersed in electronic music, DJing, vinyl and production.
In a 2018 interview he recalled the impact of hearing Robert Miles' "Children" and the shift from playing guitar toward electronic music, later drawing inspiration from artists such as Eric Prydz, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell.
2009
Privilege, Ibiza
Historical DJSA material records Paul's first Ibiza summer residency in 2009, playing Juicy Ibiza at Privilege alongside Robbie Rivera and other international artists.
He also made guest appearances at Amnesia's Contact nights.
2011–2012
Amnesia, Ibiza
Paul's Ibiza story continues at Amnesia. Beatport's artist biography states that in 2012 he returned for a second consecutive year as resident DJ for the Pop Star brand alongside Brian Cross.
During this period the biography lists shared bills with Sander Kleinenberg, Hardwell, INNA, David Tort, Cedric Gervais, Gregory Klosman and Arno Cost.
2013
International Expansion
DJSA's historical bio notes international appearances including St Moritz, Jersey, Bali and Jakarta, alongside continuing European activity.
2014
Beatport Top 10 — "BANG!"
The DJSA biography records "BANG!" entering the Beatport Top 100 at #71 after one day and later climbing to #10.

2015–2016
Electric Summer
Paul becomes associated with the Electric Summer concept in South Africa.
Contemporary coverage lists Paul Bingham on the 2015 Electric Summer Music Festival lineup alongside a bill led by Clean Bandit and Goldfish.
2017
Electric Summer Album
Paul releases his debut artist album Electric Summer on AVANTINOVA. Apple Music lists a release date of 17 July 2017, 14 tracks and a running time of 1 hour 3 minutes.
Contemporary reviews highlighted its multi-genre approach spanning festival, future-house and crossover sounds.
2018
So Sick! / Festival Era
"So Sick!" featuring Cole Smith becomes one of the most visible tracks of this period. A We Rave You interview reported #17 on Beatport Big Room and support from NERVO, Chuckie, Fedde Le Grand, Sick Individuals and Danny Avila.
Other releases from the era include EDM Army, Come Back Down and Venus (My Favourite Song).
2019

Key releases include Tomorrowland (Future Mix), Bad Love, Ibiza, Thinkin About It and Breath.
